Thanks to all who worked so selflessly to make the Annual Unionville Thanksgiving Day Meal such a living demonstration of Christian hospitality, love and generosity. Nearly two hundred meals were served this year to the local community and surrounding areas. Once again, special thanks go to Lois Brummer for her dedicated effort and leadership.
The November General Assembly of Bishops in Baltimore was a difficult but perhaps unavoidable experience for us to move forward as a Church. My reflections on the meeting are available on our website. There is a pdf version which can be easily printed for bulletins or discussion groups. Thank you to the approximately 500 who attended one of the six listening sessions. Your insights and concerns greatly helped me in forming my focus for the General Assembly. We now have the redacted comments from the listening sessions available on our website, diojeffcity.org.
Thanksgiving Day is rapidly approaching. If you would like to assist in the support, preparation or serving of Unionville's annual Thanksgiving Day meal please contact Lois Brummer. The meal is served beginning at noon Thanksgiving Day in the Putnam County 4H Building.

Thanks to all who have contributed to the Catholic Steward ship Appeal. If you have not yet offered your support, you can accomplish that online on the Diocesan website.
